Who is the Lunch Company and how long have you been around?
We have been catering from Fava in the Middle (formerly Java Fava) for over 13 years to the
businesses in the downtown Burlington core. We launched “The Lunch Company" in July 2006 as
an premium business catering senrlce for the rest of Burlington, Hamilton and Oakville. We sold
Fava in the middle this past march 08 and focus exclusively on corporate catering through The
Lunch Company brand.

We truly pride ourselves in preparing something special for you each and every time you place an
order. llve care about what we serve, we're passionate aboutfood, and we're committed to always
exceeding your expectations. Our goal is to be the best at what we do. The Lunch Company also
believes that great food should be presented in ways that are as sustainable and environmentally
friendly as possible. As a result, our food is served in containers and cutlery that is 100%
biodegradable and we have a strong sustainability mandate in everything we do.

Why is The Lunch Company so Green?
These days everyone is concerned about environmental sustainability. So are we. Vlrhen we
launched The Lunch Company we were committed to doing our part to build a more sustainable
future for our community. ln an industry first, all our packaging is 100% biodegradable-not just the
cardboard, but all of it. The plates and bowls you receive are made from the fibers of pulped
sugarcane, and the knives, forks and spoons from pressed potato starch. All our containers and
cutlery can be composted and in 180 days they are gone. Although this costs a little more, we feel
that it’s worth lt When you use The Lunch Company, you are helping to spread the idea that
corporate catering can be more environmentally friendly- in addition to getting great food!

Wow, $8 for a sandwich! lsn't that a little expensive?
Not our sandwiches, Not only do we use the finest ingredients, like our triple creme brie from
France, our Atlantic hand smoked salmon or our local natural air-chilled chicken breast, Making a
really good sandwich is more than just a piece of ham or turkey between two slices of bread: We
believe it's an art form combined with passion to create a masterpiece.

What are the most popular sandwiches?
Chicken mango with brie on stonebread, turkey cranberry with brle, grilled vegetables on multlgrain
bread-but the rest are fabulous, tool

How do the sandwiches arrive?
The come in our own custom recycled cardboard boxes and each sandwich is cut into halve so
you can try a variety.

What's with the potato cutlery, can I eat it?
Actually , you probably can but we don't recommend it The cutlery is made from a pressed potato
starch and will biodegrade in a commercial compositor ln roughly 180 days. lf you don't have a
composting facility and simply dispose of it into regular garbage, it will still decompose in regular
landfill-·it wll simply take a little while longer.

How many people will you cater for?
We can accommodate as few as 6 and as many as 2000.

How far will you deliver?
We deliver without charge ln Burlington. Outside this radius a delivery charge applies. In addition to
Burlngton, we cater corporate events in Oakville, Hamilton, Mississauga and Toronto. We have
even gone so far as Halifax for a large corporate event.

Do you have a retail store under The Lunch Company name?
Not yet but we're working on it.
